Four Rivers RC&D Area, Inc. serves as an umbrella agency for many citizen-led committees working to improve the quality of life in southwest Indiana.  Our mission is to: "Empower the people of  the Four Rivers RC&D Area in the wise enhancement of economic, cultural, and natural resources to improve their quality of life."



   Our Service Area

Four Rivers RC&D Area, Inc. serves the people of: Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Martin, Pike, Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick counties in southwest Indiana.



   Executive Board

The activities of Four Rivers RC&D are guided by a four-member volunteer Executive Board: Priscilla Kelly, President Jeffrey Ford, Vice President Michael Watson, Secretary Paul Lake, Treasurer


   RC&D Council

Each member county has at least one representative to the volunteer RC&D Council. Many of the Council members are County Commissioners, members of County Council, Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) supervisors, or have other leadership positions in their respective counties. The Four Rivers RC&D Council for 2008: Don Williams, Kevin Boyd, Wayne Fehd, Harry Halstead, Gene Sherfick, John Sherretz, Jim Utt, Larry Vollmer, Jason Dickson, Dave Ellison, Leo Schlotter, Lee Tuggle, Bob Townsend, Sam Oxley Affiliate members include: Kemper Lease, Monica Freeman, Joe Craig, Bishop Mumford, Sam Wentzel and John Kilmer.


   RC&D Staff

The Coordinator of Four Rivers RC&D is Dave Elgin. Dave is an employee of USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service. The support staff includes Beverly Osgatharp, who takes care of most of the paperwork- and works part time for Pike Co. Parks Board. Denise Tuggle, also an employee of USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service, serves as the Program Assistant to the coordinator and also assists in the NRCS Field Office as needed.
